I don't think the order matters really but I thought I'd note, just in case): Reinstalled cores in this order (theoretically I had the cores and ROM correct in my original attempted, so I started stupidly trying to 'problem solve' by applying random cores to the ROM, after each install. Using Mame 2003 and have the full 0.78 Non-Merged Rom Pack and everything I have added to the pi boots and takes coins. Everything is installed, updated, and scraped. Uninstalled the following modules I already had on my classic SNES: Hi, everyone SO happy to be here I finally got my first cab and have my retropie all set up.If there's anyone out there still trying to solve this, here's what I did once I had the right ROM (using hakchi2 CE v1.2.5 FYI): Mame 2003 was the core to use for my case, and I already had it installed on my hacked classic SNES, but for some reason it wasn't working. Finally got it to work! I appreciate all your help.
